Keep Me Accountable: Organizing!

This past weekend, I got 4 days off of work, and I was supposed to spring clean the whole house and my computer files, and basically be awesome.

Well, snap.

That didn’t happen.

Instead I wrote 18 short articles for a job while hubs studied all day.

Although the income was nice, that doesn’t solve my problem of wanting to completely de-clutter my entire space.

I need some serious motivation; it’s not even funny.

So I’m asking you for a bunch of “You can DOOO ITTTT”s

And I’m putting more pretty desk pictures on here:

I know my desk will never look like these pictures simply because I living in a developing country without access to cute craft and storage places, but I’ll at least try to organize it. Hold me accountable! Oh, and just wait till you see the “before.” Seriously, you know I have to keep it real.

What organizing project are you working on?

This is {Wherever} Wednesday #25

Hey friends! Happy Wednesday! If you’ve been a reader for a while, you know it’s time to chat about the past week in Grenada (the Caribbean island I call home!) If you’re new to the blog, please consider joining the weekly {This is Wherever Wednesday} linky party (click here to learn what TIWW is all about).

Last week, I was a total spaz. It’s been a tough month in Grenada, and I didn’t have the energy to report on the happenings.

Essentially, I’ve been sick for 4 weeks but have been working and teaching dance anyway. There is one ear nose and throat doctor on the whole island, and I traveled on two busses to see him two weekends ago but unfortunately he was sick too and ended up not being there.

I also took a tumble down one of the hills at school in front of a bunch of people I knew.

…and my car had a big tree branch fall on it at home.

So needless to say, it hasn’t been my best month ever. But, I’m surrounded by people less fortunate than me every day, and I have other family members who are afflicted with severe illnesses and would probably love to trade me for a few weeks of endless coughing. So, no more complaining from me.

Still, my countdown has begun for when we get to go home for the summer. I think it will be good for me to get off the island for a while and separate myself from all the different pathogens and bacteria that my body was not used to.

Of course, all of this talk about illness hasn’t stopped me from rehearsing with my dance group. We have a big performance on Friday, and I sure wasn’t going to miss it. I’m hoping to have another dance video for you next week, and the videos are typically very high quality at this particular show. I know the adrenaline will kick in, and we’re going to have a lot of fun.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to reading your posts!
