Sea Glass Giveaway

I’m super excited to offer this giveaway!! While I was in Grenada, I collected sea glass (and some shells) just for my bloggy friends!! I had no clue what sea glass was until the hubs moved to Grenada. Some of you might be old pros especially if you live along the beach, but for others who are like me, sea glass is formed when broken bottles, etc. toss around in the waves for awhile which makes the pieces of glass soft and smooth. I absolutely love any kind of glass in general (especially milk glass, which I talk about all the time and you can find in my shop!) So, you bet I’ll be gathering these pieces each time I go to visit the hubby.
And now here I am offering a collection to you!
After perusing the internet, there are lots of vendors selling AUTHENTIC sea glass, which leads me to believe that there are some fake-o’s out there. So, I’m really excited to be doing this giveaway which comes straight from the beaches of the Caribbean. :)
As far as what you do with your new collection, the possibilities are truly endless. I keep envisioning some really pretty wire wrapped earrings like these from the Etsy seller WestCoastSeaGlass:
I’d love to see what you do with them if you are the winner!
Rules:
No following necessary. I want Budget Blonde readers to follow ’cause they think I’m awesome not just because they want to get their hands on some sea glass!
But, what you can do is:
1. Leave a comment (snaps to you if you tell me about your favorite beach memory)
2. Tweet about it for an extra entry (leave a separate comment)
3. Blog about it for another extra entry (leave a separate comment)
4. Facebook post about it for another extra entry (leave a separate comment)
The giveaway closes this Thursday, March 24 at Midnight. The winner, selected by Random.org, will be announced on Friday.
Good luck!
*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED!*

Lovely comments:

  1. I love seaglass! I wore seaglass jewelry at college graduation! Fav beach memory is a toss-up: playing ‘the wave game’ with my dad on beach as a kid or spending a week at the beach with Zan’s family last summer.

  2. Oh my gosh that is beautiful! My favorite beach memory is probably my honeymoon :) I’m not sure I’ve ever felt more relaxed.

  3. B-e-a-utiful!! I can’t wait to be back at the beach in August for my honeymoon!

  4. I used to collect sea glass when I lived in Florida! I have no idea where mine went but its POOF! gone. boo!

my favorite beach memory is a romantic and impromptu date the hubs and I went on where we were exploring and old fort on the beach and decided to dive into the ocean clothes and all to cool off. so much fun!!!

  5. You are AWESOME!! These are beautiful!
I love watching the sunrises and sunsets on the beach. They make the prettiest pics

  6. Very cool! My fave beach memory THEN: would have to be mid to late 80′s in my bikini hanging out w/ high school friends. NOW: my fave memories are reading books while my husband digs in the sand w/ the kids.

  7. I didn’t even know what sea glass was until I read a novel with the protagonist a lady who walked the New England beach every morning collecting sea glass. Collected for the first time in St. Croix. Want to make those earrings! Love, MOM

  8. Those are beautiful. :) My favorite memory is when DH and I snuck off to the Bahamas and didn’t tell a soul. We had a great time! The beaches there are so beautiful.

  9. I LOVE sea glass! It’s so beautiful and hard to find. It reminds me of lying on the beach, looking out at the water and seeing it sparkle when the sun hit it. Beautiful!

  10. Your generosity is noteworthy, dear Budget Blonde! I’ve been collecting sea glass in Barbados for about ten years, and now make sea glass cairns and jewelry, which I sell on Etsy. Good luck to all of the people who enter your giveaway contest!
