Here is a little inspiration. Be prepared to crave a cup of hot cocoa after these images:

I love the under the stairs one too! and the windowsill “book cave” too! Totally time for me to toss aside this computer and go curl up with a book! =)
night love!

Haha the third picture– the blue and white one– is at the Beach Club Villas in Disney World. Oh how I love Disney World! (Is it sad that I can spot that right off? Now I crave not only cocoa but a trip to Florida!) Also, I think the first one is my favorite– I would never leave that bed.
I love the little bunk-nooks in the last one! Although me being me I’d probably fall asleep and fall right out… maybe not such a good idea… But it’s pretty!
RIght now I’m reading Possession. It’s fantastic: all about research and the limits of academia and discovering an unknown historical romance through hidden letters and fabulous things like that. =)
The first picture is my favorite. Although, I might fall asleep there!
oh, gosh. I LOVE the little nook under the stairs.
and I was totally that little girl, too. I even took books to restaurants.
so social, right?
I love all the nooks but the first one is a favorite. I envision a ocean view from this nook.
I love the first one and the one under the stairs. I have a dream to one day own a house with lots of little nooks like this. I’m a bookworm too. Once I learned how to read I never stopped. I am always reading a novel at least.
I know that all of the design trends are for these large, soaring, open rooms, but I think you really hit on something here — we all want cozy places where we can curl up and feel snug and secure. I want to go out and buy a staircase just so I can curl up under it with my Kindle and a cup of tea.
