Budget House Hunting

It’s no secret that I’m a wee bit obsessed with old houses. You’ve seen my old house travel pics, my love of estate sales, and of course that sweet shed-to-Victorian that I showed y’all here.

Although it’s not quite time for our little two person + puppy family to purchase our first home, that doesn’t stop me from daydreaming on one of my favorite websites, named appropriately OldHouses.com.

Here are the houses I thought were so amazing, unique, and even funky in my searching today (Oh, and P.S. I always narrow the search engine to show me houses in the $100,000-$200,000 range.)

I loved this $105,000 1935  English Tudor home in North Carolina
Or, how’s about this converted 1898 Windmill house in Maine for $164,900?

This sweet 1853 Gingerbread House also in Maine will run you $175,000. Don’t you just love the details?
And lastly, this adorable Victorian in Michigan for $179,900 is aptly named the “Wedding Cake House” since the first owner built it for his bride in 1879. It definitely resembles a sweet and delicate wedding cake! It doesn’t get more romantic than that!

Entire Ensemble: Beachy Blues for $50.00

It’s time for another Entire Ensemble post. But first, I wanted to point out that Budget Blonde is looking a bit different these days. I hope you like the new background and layout. It sort of happened by accident. Fiddle around blogger, push “save” a few times, and then you’ll be left with a mess to fix too! So, my apologies if you visited my page and the background was orange or something (the horror).

Even though the fall seems to be whizzing toward me, I couldn’t help but share some amazing sales and adorable accessories that I found to complete a chic and cheap beach look. First up is this cute Target vintage-like swim suit for $34.99. I like how it’s classy and trendy it is as well. These can-you-believe-it $0.20 Etsy earrings are the perfect match for our beach attire. Summer is definitely not complete without an on sale $2.99 floppy hat or some simple $3.50 white flip flops. Last but not least, I was even able to squeeze in a cover up and still remain under budget. This pretty blue cover up dress will only run you $7.99, and you’ll be able to pop into a restaurant and enjoy some crab legs in style.
