A Victorian Getaway

If you remember from the posts My Pink Life and Oldies But Goodies, you know I go weak in the knees for a Victorian house. Seriously, is it too much to ask that a strapping 6’3″ man like my hubs move into a pink house with a turret? I think not. I fold his laundry, don’t I? :)
Anyway, when I saw this New York Times article written by Joyce Wadler, I just had to share. She wrote about a woman named Sandra Foster who transformed a tiny hunting camp in the Catskills into an adorable Victorian oasis complete with trash to treasure finds (my favorite).

 Here is the tiny and sweet getaway now:

It’s complete with a dreamy bedroom…

the perfect reading nook:
and shabby chic accessories to put a smile on your face:
This is just a place for Ms. Foster to go to get away from it all. She has another home on the property that she shares with her hubby, but this tiny abode is all hers. I think I could handle a nap on that plush white bedding, couldn’t you?
{P.S. All of these gorgeous photos were taken by Trever Tondro and can be found by clicking on this slideshow.}
