My Teal Life

I had so much fun writing the post My Pink Life that I thought I’d whip up a post every now and then using some other fab-u-lous colors! Teal or aqua is such a gorgeous color and definitely classic (can I hear yoo hoo Tiffany blue?) Here’s what my teal life would look like with some unlimited funds and a bit of imagination.

I’d come home to a house like this:
Probably have breakfast in a room like this:
Write my friends letters on something like this:
Have a sitting room like this:
A little sparkle like this:
A sweet ride like this:
And some vintage bling like this:
Hey, a girl can dream, right?! Happy Tuesday everyone!

A Victorian Getaway

If you remember from the posts My Pink Life and Oldies But Goodies, you know I go weak in the knees for a Victorian house. Seriously, is it too much to ask that a strapping 6’3″ man like my hubs move into a pink house with a turret? I think not. I fold his laundry, don’t I? :)
Anyway, when I saw this New York Times article written by Joyce Wadler, I just had to share. She wrote about a woman named Sandra Foster who transformed a tiny hunting camp in the Catskills into an adorable Victorian oasis complete with trash to treasure finds (my favorite).

Here is the tiny and sweet getaway now:

It’s complete with a dreamy bedroom…

the perfect reading nook:
and shabby chic accessories to put a smile on your face:
This is just a place for Ms. Foster to go to get away from it all. She has another home on the property that she shares with her hubby, but this tiny abode is all hers. I think I could handle a nap on that plush white bedding, couldn’t you?
